Dr. Moody, I am a religious studies teacher at Jesuit High School in Portland, OR and am doing a unit on the afterlife. I regularly show your video LIFE AFTER LIFE to the students and they always ask me if there are people who have very negative near death experiences (ones which would lend credence to the concept of Hell or Purgatory). What have you found in your research in this area. I can't find any info on this in your first two books LIFE AFTER LIFE and REFLECTIONS ON LIFE AFTER LIFE.

Thank you for your time.

Drl Dr. Moody - I am trying to send you a letter and a request to visit your ,mirror gazing theater - I lost my perfect partner 10 years ago and I can not seem to assuage my guilt - I have moved through my grief fairly well with much ritual and even a one woman show, however, I feel I have only touched the tip of the iceburg , IHis death was sudden and freakish, my daughter and I found his stiff body in her room . The coroner could not even figure out what happened. I am unhealthily preoccupied with how his life ended and how I treated him. Can I send my letter to you and if so where?

Am I correct, I wonder, in believing that NDEs do not occur to those who enter them in a heavily-sedated state (barbiturates, opiates, and the like)as most terminally-ill hospital patients do; and that it is therefore not 'healthy' to die under these conditions?

Hello, I am a bereaved widow who lost my late husband to Cancer just over a year ago. I have a mirrored build in wardrobe in my room. Not so long ago, I think I saw my late husband. My body one night seemed to be like vibrating at quite a high frequency and then it was like having a shift in consciousness.I sort of turned my head around, yet it was not my physical head and I saw him on the bed next to me, leaning on his elbow.

I know we had quite a normal conversation and later after the vision had gone and I got up to go to the toilet, I still remembered some of it, but then after settling down in bed again for the night and going off to sleep, it seemed to have been erased most of what was said. I do remember saying to him though that he looks like he did in life but there was something different about him.

I have experienced strange things as well, like the lights at times in parts of the house flickering and there is nothing wrong with the bulbs, as I still have the same ones in and have not changed them, and it was not a power surge thing as not all the lights flickered and seemed to just be the odd one now and then and it would go on for a while. Usually when this happens, something occurs either soon afterwards or at the time more or less, of some significance. Like someone got hurt or there was an event going to happen etc. I just wish I had the time and money to oneday visit your Mirror gazing institute someday. Just thought I would share this with you.
I have also had out of body experiences as well, and dreams at times of flying over beautiful mountain ranges etc.

One of the things I have discovered since my late husband's death, is the power of love, and that it never dies, and that love is what is needed to help make this world a better place. I feel we are all so caught up in the fast lane of life that we do not take enough time to truly care about humanity as a whole and there is a need to do so, to take time out to do more for our fellowmen. Why wait until they are dying only to do more for them. We need to also care about the healthy and the living as well, and help one another more to grow into better more caring human beings as one cannot relive the past, or put things off for a future date, as we need to realize that we live in the NOW, and tomorrow may never come for some of us in this earthly life. I don't know why, but my late husband's death really has me thinking a lot these days.

So I feel that all this reaserch on life after death is a way eventually to make us human beings realize more and more that we have a purpose on this earth and to see the need to grow more spiritually and to change our way of living and our ways as such, as not only will people become convinced of life after death, but also the realization that we are meant to do more on this earth than we are doing. I have decided to purchase some books by Dannan Brinkley and see what he has to say about these matters.

Please Dr Moody I need help on a priject i am doing for my class on life after death. I need to interview someone that has experience on this subject. Here are some questions :

one: Is there evidence of life after death?
two: What happens when you die?
three: what is your opinion on a conclusion on life after death?

Dear Dr. Moody,
I am a visitor from the Czech Republic. I would like to ask you about one thing - has anybody with the near- death experience met his/her beloved pet who had died? Has anybody met any animals? All my christian friends believe animals do not enter any "heaven", they can not have any kind of "life after life", but I don´t understand why. I have always liked animals and never understood why they should be seen so differently if we (people and animals) are all of the same origin, have similar or identical emotions, pains, fears, abilities to love, to save a loved person etc. Thank you.

Dear Raymond Moody,

I recently lost my son to suicide just a few days ago. I am so deeply traumatized that I feel I need some kind of griefwork. I have always been interested in the paranormal. I am clairaudient, I can hear voices and whispering but can not always make out what they are saying. I would be willing to travel to your institute if it is here in the United States.
I must do something soon as the pain and grief is overwhelming. Do you do griefwork here in the states and can I also visit him through scrying?
If you do not offer griefwork, is there someone you can recommend? I am also a trained remote-viewer.

Thank You

Thank you for your messages. All posts are welcome in this section of People in Action's message board to discuss Dr. Moody's work and research, and related topics.

Also, if you need to contact Dr. Moody directly, since he is not related to People in Action, probably the best way is through Dr. Moody's official website, Life After Life. You may see this and other updated links in People in Action's web guide section on Raymond Moody.

You may see as well the web guide and message board on Afterlife. For example, there are links on Elisabeth Kübler-Ross and the EKR Foundation, especially relevant to the grieving process.

Let's hope these sections can be useful for those interested in these important topics.

Dear Mr. Moody,
My name is Donald Spainhoward. When I was younger I used to visit you and your family in Alabama. My Aunt's name is Linda Beggs. Do you remember me? If so you can reach me at the email below. I would like to see how you all are doing. Thank you for your time "Donnie" Spainhoward. By the way, I don't check my email that often, so please don't be offended if I don't write you back soon, thanks again.

Dear Dr. Moody:
I lost my husband of 51 years last July. I read your book "Reunions" and would be very interested in visiting your mirror imaging center. I live in Arizona, and would be happy to make the trip to Alabama at your convenience.
Thanking you in advance

Why do some people who nearly die have OBEs and some don't? I was nearly killed ten years ago in a highway accident. The doctors doubted I would survive. I had no OBE. Why? I am not a skeptic.
