Hi there!

Just writing to let you know about the free Unity Festival taking place in Manchester this weekend, organised by Unite Against Facsism. I came across it whilst surfing music sites using the new Blinkx.com search engine.

Bands/artists playing include Badly Drawn Boy, Haven, The Music and Desolation Angels. The event will be taking place from 12-8pm on Sunday 30 May.

Racism divides, music unites...

Any Will Ackerman fans out there? I got to hear his new CD through my internship at Universal, and it's great. Supposed to come out the 28th of September, and it's all remakes of all his best stuff. If you don't know his music, you're missin' out.

We are two independet musician from Argentina. We´ve just recorded some improvizations with experimental concepts using classic and electric guitar, electronic and amplify objets. We would like to edit our music in others countrys and keep creating with differents sounds. Words are not enough, so if you wish we can send our music to you.

I just started listening to classical music and my sister gave me a CD by an Italian opera singer by the name of Andrea Bocelli. I don't really understand him, but i love his voice. Since everyone here is great music critics, I would love to hear what your opinions are.

I have found music with a spiritual message has been very uplifting for me. My favorite is "Walk Across Fire". Their music touches the heart of the idea that god is all there is. Check them out at walkacrossfire.com

There is a new spanish hip-hop artist that I just came across on mp3.com. His name is Don Chell. I mistakenly came across his page, and have been ranting and raving ever since. He also has some really good songs in English. Someone please check him out and let me know if I'm crazy or am I right in thinking he's the next big hip-hop star. He has got a whole Sinatra feel about him which I think is really cool. Just wanted some feed back on my opinion from another bi-lingual hip-hop fan.

Hey Sylvia, I listen to some hip-hop, and I speak spanish so I went and checked out Don Chell at MP3.com. You're right, he is very differnt from most spanish rappers. I listened to his hip-hop version of Sinatras "My Way", and I really liked it. Some of his spanish lyrics were a little dirty for my taste (although funny), but overall I really liked him. I see he gives money from his record sales to charity, so I decided to get one. Thanks for pointing him out.

The Aggressive Palace comes at you with a rock edge and catchy hooks, all in the service of raw honest emotion. The strong melodic sound and vibrant energy of this NJ based group has helped them explode into a 'must see' band. They take progressive rock to new levels, not forgetting to stop for help along the way. Collaborations with some of NJ's uprising talent just adds fuel to the fire.

I have this song stuck in my head and I can't get it out! It's called "The Word" and I have been humming it to myself since I first heard it. It's by this awesome artist from Canada named Amy Heffernan. Her music is catchy and energetic. Go check her out at myspace.com/amyheffy! It is so worth it.
