Narmada Solidarity UK are a non-profit organisation aiming to provide support and solidarity for those affected by the Narmada dams, in North India.
We also aim to spread the word about the horrendous situation that has been unfolding in the Narmada valley for the last 20 years.

In brief:
The river Narmada is among India's most sacred rivers. It is the largest western- flowing river, and provides water and livelihood to thousands upon thousands of people.
The Indian government's largest ever project is currently underway: obliterating the river forever with a series of massive dams, causing vast sums of people to flee their villages with little or no compensation.

Sounds crazy? dam right.
