Free electricity in USA & Canada

Looking for 1,600,000 homwowners to witness technology in a home near them and in return they receive free non-polluting electricity for "life'. The company then regenerates the extra power to the eletric companies. Everyone wins. The homeowners are people power to help us confront the powers that be wh are forcing power plants down our throats.

Hi Everyone:

Recent events – the New Orleans hurricane (and the resulting energy price spike) and the near disaster of the Texas hurricane have made it abundantly clear to me that our lack of a real alternative energy policy has become more then an economic concern – our dependence on foreign sources of energy is a national security issue.

I have developed www.energypetition.com to ask the U.S. government to get serious about alternative energy and to create a ‘Manhattan Project’ for alternative fuels.

We have a precedent in this country of marshalling all available resources to solve problems critical to national security. Two examples would be the development of the nuclear bomb (The Manhattan Project) and the landing of the first man on the moon.

If we were able to build the atomic bomb in four years and land a man on the moon in eight years why is it that we have currently have a 20-30 year time frame for development of a real deliverable alternative fuel? By the way, President Nixon set pretty much the same goals in the 1970’s.

The petition takes no position on any specific form of alternative fuel – rather, it asks the Government to bring together the best minds from the private and public sectors to achieve three simple goals:

1) Identify the form of alternative energy that would most quickly reduce our dependence on foreign oil.
2) Identify those factors that prevent that alternative energy source from being used today.
3) Use all available resources to solve the identified factor(s)

An example - If the limiting factor that prevents hydrogen from being used as an effective, efficient, deliverable, viable form of alternative energy is the cost of hydrolysis – focus all efforts on driving costs from the hydrolysis process.

If you think that a simple, straightforward approach like this makes sense, please visit www.energypetion.com

I’m just one person and have developed and funded this website on my own. I’m not affiliated with any political group, special interest group, alternative energy company, utility, etc. Being new to the alternative energy world I am not really sure of the best way to ‘spread the word’. If anyone has ideas I’d love to hear them

I have done a press release about the site and have just added a page for anyone who wants to link to the petition. You can copy and paste the code into your site to show a little banner ad that links to the petition.

Regardless of why you believe we need real alternative energy – and there are many areas impacted by alternative energy – geopolitical, economic, environmental and more, I ask you to please visit, sign and encourage others to do the same.

I don’t know that a petition can have real impact but I think we have to try.

Thanks

John

Are Algae the Future of Energy & Biodiesel?

Here's an interesting editorial on oil & energy from algae ( http://www.oilgae.com/ref/oth/oilgae_editorial.html ). The editorial is essentially questioning why more focus and research dollars are not being spent on deriving oil, biodiesel and ethanol from algae...

It is interesting because the article states that algae appear to be the most biofuels feedstock, and is far more productive in terms of yield than palm or soy - in fact it says

algae as feedstock are over 100 times more productive than soy! From the info presented, it
appears that algae present the most realistic chance of being able to completely replace petro-fuels with biofuels. It is also interesting to note that the fossil oil we are using today was formed mainly from algae!

An insightful article for all those interested in suatainable alternative and renewable energy.

Read the full article from here @ Oilgae.com - Oil from Algae - http://www.oilgae.com/ref/oth/oilgae_editorial.html
