Art Help: Support the Arts and Help the Poor

Art Help is an organization whose mission is to utilize donated works of art for sale to support the world's poor and suffering.

We are dedicated to improving and sustaining quality of life in all parts of the world. A work of art can be sold again and again, so it has great potential to generate funds to help those in need. Art is not just an object to be enjoyed by the creator or owner; it is a way of life; the physical expression of an ndividual with his surroundings.

I am a Nashivlle songwriter. I am pitching a song to Gretchen Wilson. Listen>http://www.jimcolyer.com/music/

HARD EARNED LOVE

I've come across the desert in the burning sun
I've been the lonely one
My heart's beating rhythm
My soul's on fire tonight
I got 'em standing in line
I can have my choice
But you're the one I'm thinking of
I'm really, really ready
I'm ready for some Hard Earned Love

Been working all week just to earn my pay
Living for Saturday
Another Friday night
Stepping out with a man like you
I'll wear my shortest skirt
My high heel shoes
Pick me up at 8
I'm really, really ready
I'm ready for some Hard Earned Love

Drinking, dancing, making the rounds
Every honky tonk in town
I can't wait til you take me home
And we're all alone

I've been too long on that assembly line
I just wanna let go
My heart's beating rhythm
My soul's on fire tonight
I got 'em standing in line
I can have my choice
But you're the one I'm thinking of
I'm really, really ready
I'm ready for some Hard Earned Love
I'm really, really ready
I'm ready for some Hard Earned Love
I'm ready

There's this cute little coffee shop that I occasionally go to near my yoga studio. I was there the other afternoon when I had some time to kill and I heard this really nice CD, but I haven't been able to find it anywhere since then. The barista told me that it was called "Eclectic Cafe" and that it was released a few weeks ago, but I haven't heard it since. Has anyone else heard it around or seen it in stores? I wonder if it's getting a lot of play at other stores...my favorite track was this one by Madeleine Peyroux, it's got a mellow Billie Holiday feel. Check it out: http://71.18.69.253/w/Dont_Wait_Too_Long.wma For now I've been listening to the rest of the album on the label's website www.watermusicrecords.com under the "chill" section while at work at UMGD, but I'm still lookin for a copy of my own. If you haven't heard it yet I would definitely recommend checking it out!
