GameChangers is an online competition powered through Ashoka’s Changemakers and Nike whose goal is to discover innovative projects aimed at “changing the game” for women across the globe.

We are looking to beat the odds, level the playing field and improve the lives of women through the power of sport and fitness. Our competitors will form a community where they will interact with each other, a judging panel, and the wider Changemakers network to expand their knowledge and improve their game. It’s a competition and a community in one aimed at creating opportunities for women to win.

The portal allows social activists to submit their projects, or initiatives which require video content to the database for free.

The http://www.weforum.org/en/events/WorldEconomicForumonAfrica2009/index.htm to be held in Cape Town, South Africa, June 10-12th 2009 will kick off with a highly interactive session designed to engage over 350 leaders in a brainstorming exercise to examine the current changing global landscape and determine what are the major challenges that African countries need to be most prepared for in the coming year.

We want you to help shape the debate.

Using our innovative http://vote.driversofchange.com/world-economic-forum-africa-2009, you can vote for the challenge(s) you think African leaders need to give highest priority to in the next 12 months. The results will be presented to participants at the opening session of the summit in Cape Town on June 10th.


You can also submit a short video via youtube explaining why you’ve voted for a particular challenge. The best videos will be shown to all participants in the opening session.
