Info wanted on developing technology based community

Looking for information to assist in developing a land project in Florida which will incorporate technology of the future.

Our client has 5,000 acres under development in east central Florida and we have been asked to participate in this development. I would like to propose at least one of the community areas be dedicated to work at home professionals. These homes (approx 1500) would be designed specifically for home based businesses and should have direct links to the outside would via modern technology connections.

Does anyone know of such a community which might have already been developed that we could use as a model? I can't seem to locate one.

If you can help, please drop a note on my email: lee_kunes@rocketmail.com..... Any leads would be greatly appreciated... Tks...

Floating Doorstep Anti-flood Defence

Hello

The New Scientist magazine, published in Britain, referred to my invention of a floating doorstep to protect buildings against flooding. This created a great deal of interest from the press, television, and radio stations, with a station as far away as Australia doing a telephone interview. I thought your readers may also be interested.

The device is automatic and acts as a conventional doorstep until activated by floodwater. Because the step is hollow it sits on the surface of the floodwater and is always above it. A fexible bag is attached to the step and floodwater inflates it, providing a screen across the doorway.

In effect the energy of floodwater is being used to repel itself. Some development work has been done at Abertay University Scotland. The device is being patented.

Best wishes

Sorry; I'm not a potential customer, but I found your site while researching the genealogy of the Dutch Van de(n/r) Noort-family.

Floating doorsteps? That is quite an innovationion since a simple Dutch thumb in a dike...!

Spirit Quest Ocean Survey is in the final development stages of an alternative energy system that doesnt use water, wind, fuel of any kind, nuclear or chemical etc. We have reached the final stage to build the last parts and to perform a press release for media. We need to find interested partners.

Hello all. I am planning on moving to the countryside here in Uruguay (South America). I won´t have electricity there. I am looking at a windgene system that I´m building myself. I´m also building my own batteries, either lead acid or nickel iron. Surprisingly, they would cost me roughly the same here. All this just to run my desktop computer. I know I should get a laptop, but can´t. Even lighting is no problem, just the computer. What will I need?
TIA,smile

My company is trying to get funded to start construction of a Solid Waste Recycling Plant in Texas. We have funding in place from a non-profit organization, but for IRS purposes, must have a Standby Letter of Credit from another source before we can receive the initial funds. The project uses a technology called Plasma Gasification to take solid waste and incinerate it. The left over solid material, or slag, is inert and can be used for roadbase or fill. It is not harmful to the environment. The gas produced from the process, called Synthesis Gas, is used to power a turbine generator. At full capacity, the plant will be processing 2,000 to 3,000 tons of solid landfill waste per day. The results will be far less landfill space needed and it will produce power for the plant itself and enough surplus to power 125,000+ homes per day. This is an exciting new green technology that is self sustaining and eco-friendly. What we need is a company, group, or individual that can post a standby letter of credit for $370 million dollars before we can get funded by the non-profit organization that is supporting this venture. The company website is under construction right now, so serious inquiries can be directed to me personally through this message board for right now. Thank you and wish us luck.
