ONE SOUL MEDIA BRINGS MESSAGES OF UNITY FROM SPIRITUAL TEACHERS FROM AROUND THE WORLD New resource focused on peace initiatives and spiritual unity July 4, 2007 (Vancouver, BC) – One Soul Media, a Vancouver based group of spiritually conscious counselors, educators and filmmakers, is announcing an initiative to provide the mainstream media with a series of print and filmed interviews with spiritual teachers from around the world. One Soul Media has already started filming and recording interviews, and in the coming months will interview teachers from Christian, Muslim, Buddhist and the Jewish faiths, as well as non-denominational teachers. The only requirement is that they be teachers who believe in the core tenets of their faiths, which all speak to the Oneness of all living beings, and seek to unite through their teachings, rather than divide “We all just got tired of seeing network media messages that focus on the war, misery and suffering that result from religion and spirituality being used as a force to divide rather than unite people,’ said Pat Bermel and Brian Haley, the founders of the organization, “When we looked at the core teachings of prophets from Jesus to Mohammed, and the Buddha, they all emphasized the unity of life, and the Peace at the heart of all life. We felt at this critical time in humanity and the planet’s history, it was important to emphasize this unity, rather than the negative and misleading messages people are bombarded with; messages that give the false impression that there is one right faith or belief, different from all the rest. We wanted to reflect the sameness of these faiths, rather than the illusion of separation, that leads to ignorance, suspicion, and hostility.” So beginning this July, articles will be provided to media outlets around the world, that emphasize this unifying principal, starting with an interview with Gangaji, an American woman who became awakened through an Indian teacher, and continuing with an interview with Genpo Roshi, a widely respected Zen Master living in Colorado. In upcoming issues, the organization aims to provide articles and interviews with teachers such as Ekhart Tolle and the Dalai Lama, as well as teachers from the Christian, Muslim and Jewish faiths, and information to people about how they can support unifying initiatives around the world. The first article in the series, that One Soul Media is making available to publications, is an original print article and interview with Gangaji, a celebrated American teacher. In upcoming releases, the organization aims to provide articles and interviews with teachers such as Ekhart Tolle and the Dalai Lama, as well as teachers from the Christian, Muslim and Jewish faiths, and information to people about how they can support unifying initiatives around the world.
