Please respond with your thoughts on the issue of saving the world or anything that would tie into this topic. marijke taffein New Collaborator Registered: Oct 2004 Post Number: 1 Oct 07, 2004 - 01:13    in belgium there are 500.000 people with no legal adress and there for with no papers no income since 1963 ---the country doesnt knoww if they are a live or death or where they are ---I am 1 of them----after being hit and beaten up for my wages and everything i had ---after been denied help from the police to get this person who wasn t even registered in my home to get her out ---i was brought to a shelter badly hurt --- and even than the police let her stay in my house which is my property--- i came abroad after returning home and after getting her out with a court order ---everything was demolished and gone ---and i just ran ---now 1.5 year later and after several tries to get passport and legal things organised ---the community where i lived just registered me out of my own property---leaving me with no rights at all --- i cannot go anywhere as it seems that my identity card is run out of validity as well ---I CANNOT GET A PASPORT AND I FEEL HURT LEFT ALONE AND ANGRY--- THIS IS A EUROPEAN COUNTRY---THEY SIGNED THE HUMAN RIGHTS ---THEY ASSURE A PASPORT FOR ALL OF IT CITIZENS AND I CANNOT GET ONE CAN ANYBODY ADVICE ME WHAT TO DO ---I AM SCARED DONT WANT TO RETURN WITHOUT VALID IDENTITY CARD I CANNOT GET ANYTHING DONE TO MAKE MY STAY LEGAL NOT EVEN ABROAD HELP I need a lawyer a journalist or anything that can help me OR SHALL I ASK FOR POLITICAL ASYLUM???-- taffein@hotmail.com

People in US have voted Bush because they feel more secure with him. In Gabon, like in most of the part of Africa the government is on duty only for its members, not the country. Our worst enemy down here in africa is the government whereas in other parts the ruling body is a shield. Does somebody know that last friday, 2 people have been killed, and other badly injured by the bullets of their own army in Gabon? The victims were among the crowd of the natives of a region where Shell and Panafrican (which has already got more than 3,000 barrels/day in the area)are starting up the development of a new oil field. The cantecarous group was claiming for a tiny share in the expected revenue of the more than 50m deep oil stream which flows under their feet. PEOPLE OF THE DUBANGA RIVER HAVE THE RIGHTS TO BENEFIT FROM THE WEALTH EXTRACTED FROM THEIR LAND. THE DEEDS OF GABONESE GOVERNMENT CANNOT PROMOTE PEACE BUT CIVIL WAR.
