Hi@all!
I´m new to this boards.

First I would like to say that I´m glad to find this site, because it´s very nice to see that there are people who care the HUMAN RIGHTS and want to change the world.

I´m from Germany and I´m in class 12. In our english lesson we talk about several global issues.
Now, I´ve got to do a presentation about HUMAN RIGHTS & JUSTICE.
I´ve found a lot of sites with a lot of information.
But what I´m really looking for is (at least one) short video (in english of course) that shows an example on this topic, a video that is about "HUMAN RIGHTS" or the "ABUSE OF HUMAN RIGHTS" or something, to present it to he class.
I just wanted to ask you guys, if you know where I could download a short video that maybe also explains "justice"...well maybe something like an interview of a person from the 3rd World countries who talkes about how they are treatened, so that we have an example of(maybe an abuse/trafficking) of human rights in real life.

I hope someone of you can help me to find a video...if you know a link or something, than please contact me!

Thanks

Academia News (visit: http://mypapertrail.underwriterweb.com) is a revolutionary type of electronic newspaper that reports exclusively on definitions of words. Our definitions provide extraordinary information on topics relating to human rights etc.

We recruit volunteer news reporters and editors to join Wikipedia Encyclopedia (visit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page) to assist us. You can help us by volunteering to join Wikipedia.

"No More Tears Sister," a documentary by Helene Klodawsky that chronicles the life of renowned human rights activist Dr. Rajani Thiranagama, who was assassinated at the age of 35 during the violent ethnic conflict that has enveloped Sri Lanka for decades, will have its national broadcast premiere on Tuesday, June 27th. The film is a part of the 19th season of P.O.V., the showcase for independent documentaries, on PBS

We have produced an extensive companion website – www.pbs.org/pov/nomoretears – that features an overview of the history of the conflict in Sri Lanka, interviews with members of Human Rights Watch and the University Teachers for Human Rights (Jaffna), excerpts from letters written by Dr. Thiranagama during the late 1980s shortly before her death, interviews with her family members and links to a variety of websites focusing on Sri Lanka, the Tamil Tigers and the plight of women involved in similar conflicts around the world.

We hope that you watch the P.O.V. broadcast of “No More Tears Sister” on Tuesday, June 27 at 10 PM (check local listings) on most PBS stations.

There is a growing global concern about slave trafficking, in India. Young girls are being sold into a variety of trades, from the circus to prostitution. The U.N. claims the nation has not done enough law enforcement, to control the problem.

First of all, India is not the U.S. America is a land of promise. India has no such false pretenses. Furthermore, India has a policy of respecting the mighty, because they HAVE TO. This policy was established by Gandhi himself, regarding India's relationship with the British. The unfortunate flip side of this policy, is that they disregard or oppress the poor, the meek, and the powerless. They never made any claims to the contrary, so why are they being punished?

The U.N. should leave poor India alone, and go after the Vatican. One of India's major slave trafficking organizations, is the Great Roman Circus. The Catholic Church, which is supposedly holy, has well-documented ties, to organized crime. They are methodically overthrowing the freedom of all nations, including the U.S. HEEEEEELP!

I attended a Catholic school in kindergarten, which is why I know so much about their culture. I just have a feel for it.

I read about an old Hugh Grant movie about a doomed relationship between a British chap and his Indian lover, who is also his boss's daughter. The boss destroys their relationship, fires Hugh Grant and, I think, disowns his daughter.

If there is any truth in this, Indians might as well relax about this sort of thing, because they can't control the world. Catholics know everything, about everyone. They are primarily preying upon India, because their women have such limited personal freedom, to begin with. They're too virtuous, for their own good. If every Indian girl aged 7 and up dyed their hair purple and wore a nose ring and leather skirts with chains on them, slave traffickers would leave them alone, and bother someone else.

Hi all, I’m a law student looking to spend some time in Ghana helping to increase knowledge of basic human rights and to ensure that ordinary people understand what protections they are entitled to by law. Unfortunately for me to participate in this project it’s going to cost £2000 and as I have spent the last two years in hospital I have been unable to raise this money. If anyone would be interested in sponsoring this worthwhile trip let me and I can spend full details of the project.
Thanks everyone.

Hi everyone,
I'm new on this board. I live in Cambodia where child's work is not a problem but a habit. There is an NGO there who realized a touching video about children working in a brick factory. When living in developed countries where children are kings, it is difficult to imagine that in many countries children are forced to work in both family homework and factories.
here is the link to watch the video
