of 1994, 800,000 Rwandans were slaughtered by their fellow countrymen and
women, most for no other reason than that they belonged to a particular
ethnic group. The killings began on 7 April 1994, the day after a plane
carrying the presidents of Rwanda and Burundi was shot out of the sky with
a missile as it prepared to land in Kigali. The systematic slaughter of
men, women and children, which took place over the course of about 100 days
between April and July of 1994, was perpetrated in full view of the international
community. Appalling atrocities were committed, by militia and the armed
forces, but also by civilians against other civilians. The genocide was
highly organized, with top government and ruling party officials playing
a role. Lists were drawn up of Tutsi and opposition leaders earmarked for
assassination before the genocide itself actually began. The hate media

"Human blood against oil", the choice of the Gabonese government.

I do not know if this is the appropriate board for this message. People in US have voted Bush because they feel more secure with him. In Gabon, like in most of the part of Africa the government is on duty only for its members, not the country. Our worst enemy down here in africa is the government whereas in other parts the ruling body is a shield.
Does somebody know that last friday, 2 people have been killed, and other badly injured by the bullets of their own army in Gabon? The victims were among the crowd of the natives of a region where Shell and Panafrican (which has already got more than 3,000 barrels/day in the area)are starting up the development of a new oil field. The cantecarous group was claiming for a tiny share in the expected revenue of the more than 50m deep oil stream which flows under their feet.
PEOPLE OF THE DUBANGA RIVER HAVE THE RIGHTS TO BENEFIT FROM THE WEALTH EXTRACTED FROM THEIR LAND. THE DEEDS OF GABONESE GOVERNMENT CANNOT PROMOTE PEACE BUT CIVIL WAR. GABON NEED HELP WE WANT YOUR REACTION.

There is a black out about the topic in all the media around the world. Why? Please transmit this information the more that you can.
Thank you.

Protecting Human Rights can mean providing people the information they need up-front. This is especially true in infant adoption where many parents who are well-able to care for their child may simply wonder if two married people might be better than the child's own family. Or people may just need a little help and acknowedgement as the mother and father of their child. http://www.motherhelp.info

New Directions in Adoption
http://www.adoption-articles.com is dedicated to protecting the rights of children and their families. Too often adoption is about finding babies for customers, rather than caring for children in the best way possible.

Just wanted to pitch a new website, called Farmer Ted’s Almanac & Mercantile. It is a literary journalism site that includes in depth stories about politics, in particular the anti-war movement, as well as has satire, a blog, and political poetry. Please give us a look if you have the time. As we grow we will be added many interactive features.

The flagship issue includes a story about Jeremy Hinzman, an Army Prvt. who has fled with his family top Canada. Coming up is an interview with Michael Berg, Father of Nick Berg who was murdered either by Iraqi resisters or members of America’s military/intelligence forces.

At this very moment, 408 Moroccan Prisoners of War are being held against their will by an army called the Polisario Front. Some of these men have been held captive for more than a quarter century—even after the 1991 cease fire which ended the armed conflict over the Sahara Desert. They are regularly tortured, forced to perform slave labor, malnourished and deprived access to medical attention. Please support these Moroccan Prisoners of War by signing this petition for their immediate & unconditional release. www.freethemnow.org

HOME OFFICE REFERENCE NO: S1086061

KEEP JESSICA & HOSSEIN TOGETHER!!!!!!!

Jessica Siavoshy, a Teaching Assistant and her Iranian husband a graduate of London University are campaigning to stay in the U.K. Although they have been married for over two years the Home Office refuse to grant permission for Hossein to stay or work in the U.K. They plan to send him back to Iran where he could face imprisonment or worse for being present at a pro-democratic demonstration.

Hossein came to the U.K in October 2000. He fled Iran awaiting sentencing after having spent some months in prison where he was interrogated and tortured. Upon arrival in the U.K Hossein claimed political asylum on the basis of the severe torture he had endured. Hossein complied with the appropriate protocol and returned his initial form to the Home Office within the specified time limit. The Home Office denied that the form had been returned on time and subsequently issued Hossein with a removal notice. When Hossein's then solicitor produced the postal recorded delivery slip, the Home Office admitted that their actions had been 'fatally flawed' but did not remove the form from Hossein's case folder.

During Hossein's application, whilst living in West London, Hossein met Jessica, they were married in June 2003.

Even though the Home Office admit that they cannot 'deny the marriage is genuine', their application was refused in February 2004 with no right of appeal. It was simply because of Hossein's failed asylum application and because the Home Office claim that Jessica can easily move to Iran.

To do this Jessica would have to give up her job, way of life, religion and her British Citizenship, as Iran does not recognise dual nationality. The Iranian Embassy have blatantly refused to issue Jessica with a tourist visa, insisting that by Iranian law she must be issued with an Iranian passport, a requirement of which is the conversion to Islam. Jessica is Christian.

Hossein has a settled life within the U.K, and has nothing to go back to in Iran. It is uncertain what would happen to Hossein given his political views, especially since the recent hardliner election victories in Iran. It is certainly far too dangerous for Hossein and Jessica in Iran. Even the Foreign Office website 'strongly advises against travel to parts of the country'. Removing Hossein from the U.K would result in their forced indefinite separation. As you can imagine this uncertainty is extremely stressful and has adversely affected every aspect of their lives. Jessica and Hossein are both being treated for severe depression.

Through this campaign we aim to put pressure on the Home Office and inform people of the way immigration control is handled in this country by dividing families and couples with no regard for the human rights or private lives of those involved.

Jessica and Hossein are now waiting for their second Judicial Review application to be processed. Please support to ensure they get the response they deserve.

Hossein has been issued with countless removal forms and is due to be deported any day, we ask you to act urgently!

KEEP JESSICA & HOSSEIN TOGETHER!!!!!!

Practitionners of a truly good and high level spiritual practice have been persecuted in China by the communist party. There are 2733 deaths by now and many more detained in labor camps! Falun Dafa (also called Falun Gong) has benefited many people bringing them good health and has brought up moral standards tremendously. I used to go boards like these but i don't anymore because Falun Gong has changed my life and it can change yours too if you truly practice. There is a petition you can sign to deliver the practitionners detained in labor camps :

Fot other information concerning this spiritual practice (which is not a sect or a religion; it is completely free and is a cultivation practice based on truthfulness, compassion and forbearance) you can go on these sites:
