Progressive job opptys, web sites and links

I am wondering if anyone could direct me to listings of web sites for progressive non-profit job postings or placement services/links/individuals in advocacy, fundraising, either int'l or domestic. I haven't found anything extensive. Thank you in advance.

how to work for change

like most everyone here, i'm trying to make a difference by changing the habits that i live by. gave up the car. got a bike. traded in my almost-completed ba in marine biology and pursued one in environmental science. i have plans to go to graduate school next year and right now i want to focus on preparing for the gre and keeping up on trends in energy conservation, but i also need a job, preferably one that might keep me on part-time while i go through grad school. this didn't seem like too much to ask in may, but it sure seems impossible now, especially when the only people interested in recent grads are programs that want free interns.
i'm just starting to reach out into online opportunities, which is why i'm writing. everyone here probably has more computer experience than me. i just now found jobdirect.com -- a little late, i guess -- but now, i'm interested in finding other similar services, especially if they're free too.
wise words, anyone? i'm committed to the idea that a person can make a living while making a difference. i'm not going to give up on that ideal, but that leaves precious few companies worth working for. .....too cynical? i hope so.

Re: how to work for change

Brit,

Try Environmental Careers World, lots of resources: http://www.environmental-jobs.com/
I like the look of that JobDirect site you mentioned, especially that it appeals to students about to make the transition to real life. I have a niece who's going to graduate from UCSB next summer and she's already looking for job possibitiies.

I graduated in May of 1999 with my undergraduate degree in Environmental Science. I am currently in an Internship in Environmental Education and would like to work abroad for 1 year (starting June 2000) before I return to graduate school. Most of the information that I have checked out, you have to be a student or there are large programs fee. I would really like to work abroad but have not had much luck. Please respond if you can help.
